Application Support Engineer

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping business-critical applications stable, reliable, and available. The role involves monitoring application performance, analyzing alerts and incidents, identifying the underlying causes of issues, and helping implement effective solutions. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve problems efficiently and minimize disruption to business operations. The position also involves identifying recurring issues, supporting preventive measures, and contributing to ongoing improvements in application performance and reliability. The overall objective is to ensure that critical applications continue to operate smoothly while supporting efficient and dependable business processes.

Roles and Responsibilities Develop a strong understanding of assigned systems, processes, and support activities while contributing effectively to the team. Take part in discussions focused on identifying the root causes of technical and operational issues. Record incidents, troubleshooting steps, and solutions to strengthen the team’s internal knowledge resources. Work with teams across different functions to exchange information, coordinate troubleshooting, and resolve issues efficiently. Assist less-experienced team members by sharing technical knowledge, practical insights, and effective approaches to problem diagnosis. Professional and Technical Skills Core Requirement: Strong understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices. Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities for identifying and addressing system-related issues. Familiarity with application and infrastructure monitoring tools, alerts, and incident-response procedures. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
